Watch The Final Season Trailer

I joined Eastsiders in season 4, it’s final season and was honored to be a part of such a compelling, honest, hilarious show. It wasn’t always the easiest show to cut, but the final product was well worth the struggle. It had a fair amount of improv and continuity was not always my friend, so I was bringing a lot of what I learned on Transparent to the table here, thinking outside of the box and getting creative with how I could try to include some of that improv gold even though the coverage might have been a bit tricky to put together – but there’s a certain kind of charm to that style – you can play a bit more in fun, experimental ways.

Some editors aren’t open to playing, but I like to get weird– when you have to do a mental breakdown scene or something really trippy like hallucinations or the sitcom scenes I did in Daybreak. I’m always down for the journey of exploring even if in the end we don’t end up using it, I never feel that time is wasted. Not only does it help you get to the best version of the scene, but it also gives you the confidence to know there’s not a better version hiding out there.
